Sleep is an important part of physical and psychosocial health. For this reason, nurses are expected to evaluate their sleep health, make attempts to eliminate sleep problems and improve sleep health while caring for sick and healthy individuals. The aim of this study is to provide an overview of this issue by examining the sleep health studies carried out in the field of nursing in the national summer. Studies depend on the types of research; it is offered in three ways: descriptive, experimental, and methodological. In the national summer, it is seen that descriptive studies are carried out more frequently than other studies. Generally, descriptive studies aimed at determining the sleep quality and sleep-disrupting factors of hospitalized patients be important risk determination methods to eliminate sleep disorders. Attempts to address the identified risks can be shown through experimental studies. In the studies examined, it can be said that sleep education and non-pharmacologic methods given by nurses is an effective initiative in eliminating sleep disorders of both the patients in the clinic and the school community. Current methodological studies in national context show that nurses have given Turkish culture many sleep scales in recent years to determine sleep disorders.

Healthcare institutions, especially hospitals, are complex structures with various dangers arising from the working environment. In this system, delivery units are among the units with high physical, cognitive and organizational ergonomic risk factors. However, ergonomics is generally overlooked in these units. Exposure to ergonomic risk factors in maternity units causes problems such as musculoskeletal complaints, occupational accidents, malpractice, burnout and leaving the profession in healthcare professionals. However, the ergonomic design of the delivery units also affects the satisfaction of the pregnant women regarding the birth. Providing ergonomic working conditions in delivery units and improving room designs will increase the quality of life and productivity of healthcare professionals and contribute to the positive birth experience of women. For this reason, it is important to know the ergonomic risks in these units, to take precautions and to develop strategies to protect employee health.
