Abstract

Abstract

COVID-19 affects the biological, psychological and physical health of patients. Therefore, nurses who care for patients infected with COVID-19 should be evaluated in all aspects. Nurses can use care models based on nursing theory for this. Neuman systems Model is a model that approaches the patient in a holistic way and guides in nursing care. This case study was conducted in order to manage the nursing process according to the Neuman Systems Model in COVID-19 disease, which affects many systems, the clinical course requires intensive follow-up and nursing care, and also negatively affects the psychological health of people. The care plan, which was planned as a result of the stressor perceived by the patient and determined by the nurse, was implemented with primary, secondary and tertiary protection measures and the nursing process was evaluated.         The use of the Neuman Systems Model in cases such as COVID-19 that requires comprehensive evaluation, enables nurses to carry out a qualified and effective nursing process by considering all bio-psycho-social needs of patients holistically.
