Hemşirelik Öğrencilerinin Hemşirelik Mesleğine Yönelik Tutumları ile Belirsizliğe Tahammülsüzlükleri ve Koronavirüs Korkuları Arasındaki İlişki

Özet: Amaç: Bu araştırma, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin hemşirelik mesleğine yönelik tutumları ile COVID-19 pandemisi döneminde yaşadıkları belirsizliğe tahammülsüzlükleri ve COVID-19 korkuları arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı ve ilişki arayıcı tipte yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırmanın örneklemini bir hemşirelik fakültesinde öğrenim gören 280 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Veriler; “Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu”,“Hemşirelik Mesleğine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği”,“Belirsizliğe Tahammülsüzlük Ölçeği” ve “COVID-19 Korkusu Ölçeği” ile çevrimiçi ortamda toplanmış, ve SPSS paket programı (25.0) ile analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin “Hemşirelik Mesleğine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği” alt boyutu olan “Hemşirelik Mesleğinin Özellikleri” puan ortalamaları ve “Belirsizliğe Tahammülsüzlük Ölçeği” ve alt boyutları olan “İleriye Yönelik Kaygı” ve “Engelleyici Kaygı” puan ortalamaları arasında pozitif yönde, zayıf derecede ve istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki tespit edilmiştir. “Hemşirelik Mesleğine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği” alt boyutu olan “Hemşirelik Mesleğini Tercih Etme” puan ortalamaları ile “Belirsizliğe Tahammülsüzlük Ölçeği” ve alt boyutu olan “Engelleyici Kaygı” puan ortalamaları arasında negatif yönde, zayıf derecede ve istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç: Hemşirelik Öğrencilerinin COVID-19 pandemisinde yaşadıkları belirsizlik ile hemşirelik mesleğine yönelik tutumları arasında ilişki saptanırken, yaşadıkları COVID-19 korkusu ile hemşirelik mesleğine yönelik tutumları arasında ilişki saptanmamıştır. |

Abstract: Objective:The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between nursing students' attitudes towards the nursing profession and their intolerance of uncertainty and fears related to COVID-19 during the pandemic. The study is descriptive and correlational in nature. Materials and Methods:The sample of the study consists of 280 students attending a nursing faculty. Data were collected online using the "Introductory Information Form," "Nursing Attitude Scale," "Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale," and "COVID-19 Fear Scale," and were analyzed using SPSS 25.0. Results:A significant positive yet weak relationship was found between the students' mean scores of the "Characteristics of the Nursing Profession" subscale of the "Nursing Attitude Scale" and the "Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale" along with its subscales of "Future Anxiety" and "Preventive Anxiety." Additionally, a significant negative yet weak relationship was identified between the mean scores of choosing the nursing profession and the "Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale" and its subscale "Preventive Anxiety." Conclusion:While a relationship was identified between nursing students' experiences of uncertainty during the COVID-19 pandemic and their attitudes towards the nursing profession, no relationship was found between their fears related to COVID-19 and their attitudes towards the nursing profession. |
